LESSON 1: Part 7 Conclusion

CONCLUDING REMARKS

The things we love to do have a strong effect on who we are and what we do. We tend to gravitate to other people who love to do things that complement what we love to do. We tend to visit places where we can express what we love to do and places that express our loves.

We are an expression of our values, gifts and the things we love to do. These are the things that make us happy, that give meaning to our lives. If we deny our values, gifts and the things we love to do, we become less happy and we have little meaning to our lives. When this happens we are in need of a spiritual healing.

The longer we remain unhappy with little or no meaning in our lives the further we move away from the Divine. The further we move away from the Divine the more we express our hopelessness and helplessness with physical, mental, emotional and psychological disease. Unhappy people who have little meaning to their lives need to be spiritually healed so they can find their gifts and do what they value and love to do. That's when we start to feel worthless to ourselves and everybody else.

Starting to feel worthless is a wake-up call that we need to pay attention to our values, gifts and the things we love. It's best to pay attention to our values, gifts and the things we love long before this happens. It's good mental health to pay attention to them at least once a month by asking these questions:

  1. Am I doing important and fun things I value?

  2. Am I joyfully experiencing and expressing my gifts?

  3. Am I doing, experiencing and expressing what I love?

Our values, gifts and doing the things we love to do will attract people to us who will support our values and gifts, people who love some of the things we love, people who can relate to us as the person we truly are. But if we are expressing something other than our values, gifts and things we love, we will draw people into our lives who are attracted to these things. We can't relate to these people because they are not tuned into the person we really are. They're tuned into the "fake" person we were trying to be.

THE SECRET TO LIVING A HAPPY, JOYOUS AND FULFILLING LIFE

The secret to living a happy, joyous and fulfilling life is to express your values and gifts by doing what you love to do.

That bears repeating.

The secret to living a happy, joyous and fulfilling life is to express your values and gifts by doing what you love to do.
